I have to say, I’ve been a fan of Alan’s balls ever since “American Beauty,” all through “Six Feet Under” and beyond. But one cannot deny the fact that unnatural settings and bizarre circumstances of “True Blood” give the man a special kind of freedom of expression.
And he doesn’t stop at bold statements like the one above. He also gives us little snappy gifts: Jason Stackhouse’s “that train has sailed” is almost as brilliant as Biff Tannen’s “make like a tree and go.”
